Chinese New Year 2008

Simone before we leave for the Chinese New Years Part on February 23rd, 2008. It was a beautiful day outside but too sunny for great photos.

Simone's FAVORITE part about this Chinese New Years party was the Lion Dance!! As they started to move around the room her arms went tightly around my neck but she was still loving it. I found the web site for this great group and showed Simone their video on You Tube and she loved it. She keeps asking to see it!! She loved it so much we looked into having them perform at her 4th birthday party. They charge $400.00 and usually do weddings or new years party's but they said they would give us a discount and charge $350.00......although it is well worth the money we will wait....Maybe her 16th Birthday!!!??!! They are amazing!!

More Chinese New Year 2008

On February 10th one of Rick's students invited us to a Chinese New Years Celebration. We we so happy to know that we could make part of it and really enjoyed our selves. I also was pleasantly surprised when one of my third graders was performing!!!

We feel blessed that we have so many opportunities to participate in Chinese Activities where we live. We were unable to participate in our local FCC Chinese New Years Party but lucked out that we were able to attend other functions and we are glad that we checked them out and will be participating in them next year!
